We are looking for dedicated a Teaching Assistant to help make a difference in the lives of our students.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students by providing assistance in the classroom, helping to create a positive learning atmosphere, and ensuring that educational objectives are met. Your contributions will directly impact the educational experience of our diverse student body.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans, including preparing materials and resources.
- Provide individual or small group support to students to facilitate their learning and development.
- Encourage and motivate students, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop their skills.
- Support students with special educational needs, adapting resources and methods to meet their individual needs.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure the effective delivery of educational programmes and strategies.

Position: Part time - 5 days per week, 30 hours, term time only,
Maternity Cover
Grade 6 £29,741 - £32,045 FTE (based on full time working)
Supporting the School
At an appropriate level, according to the job role, grade and training received, all employees of the school are expected to:
Support the aims, values, mission and ethos of the school and participate in a team approach to all aspects of school life.
Attend and contribute to staff meetings and INSET days as required and identify areas of personal practice and experience for development.
Take appropriate responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, be aware of confidential issues relating to students, families, staff and the school, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Be aware of health and safety issues and act in accordance with the school's Health and Safety Policy.
Other Duties
The post holder may be required to undertake duties other than those specified in this job description, provided that they are of a similar level of responsibility and that appropriate training and support are provided where necessary.

Requirements
- A genuine passion for supporting students in their educational journey.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children.
- Experience or qualifications in education or childcare is an advantage but not strictly required.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the school environment.
