Behind every delivery is technology that connects our customers, warehouse, and drivers, and we're looking for an engineer to help build it.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you'll be a hands-on builder with the tech team . Your main focus will be our Internal system and our Shopify storefront, where customers discover, personalise, and order their gifts, and you'll also contribute to our web, mobile, and backend systems. You'll work alongside senior engineers and our Tech Lead, take ownership of features as you grow, and get real exposure to how an e-commerce and logistics platform runs at scale.

What You'll Work On

• Shopify storefront: build and improve our Liquid theme, including product pages, collections, gift add-ons, delivery date and time selection, and checkout flows that stay fast and reliable during peak seasons like Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.
• Storefront integrations: connect the storefront to our internal systems so orders, inventory, and delivery slots stay in sync with our warehouse.
• Customer mobile app: help develop features in our React Native app so customers can order and track gifts with ease.
• Internal tools: contribute to our internal operation system and Driver app as you build familiarity with the wider platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, customise, and maintain our Shopify theme using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with attention to performance, accessibility, and mobile experience.
• Work with Shopify apps, metafields, and APIs (Storefront and Admin) to extend what the storefront can do.
• Turn designs and business requirements into clean, well-tested features, and ship them to production.
• Contribute to our TypeScript codebase across web, mobile, and backend, with guidance from senior engineers.
• Investigate and fix bugs, using monitoring tools and data to understand what went wrong.
• Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, and help keep our codebase healthy.
• Work with marketing, operations, and other non-technical teammates to launch campaigns and seasonal changes on the storefront.
• Keep learning our e-commerce and logistics domain, and suggest ways to improve the customer experience.

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building web applications with React or a similar frontend framework.
• Solid fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and working knowledge of TypeScript or a willingness to pick it up quickly.
• Some exposure to backend development with Node.js, REST APIs, or relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Willingness to learn new tools, including Shopify and Liquid if you haven't used them before.
• Comfort using Git and working in a team codebase with code reviews.
• Clear communication and a willingness to ask questions, take feedback, and learn.

Nice To Have

• Experience with Shopify Liquid, such as building themes, sections, and metafields, or working with the Storefront and Admin APIs.
• Experience with GraphQL, such as querying Shopify's Storefront or Admin APIs, or building and consuming GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with NextJs or React Native in a production setting.
• Experience with Hono or other Node.js backend frameworks.
• Background in e-commerce, especially high-traffic sales or seasonal campaigns.
• Familiarity with web performance, SEO, or accessibility best practices.
• Experience with AWS, Sentry, or CloudWatch.
