Job Overview:
Reporting to the EDI Manager, the EDI ERP Specialist will support the current SAP ECC landscape and contribute to S/4HANA migration initiatives.
The candidate should possess cross-functional SAP knowledge, including Order-to-Cash (OTC), Financial Accounting (FI), Logistics Execution (LE), and Transportation Management (TM).
The specialist will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, supporting EDI solution design and specifications, coordinating with business stakeholders and external partners, and assisting in the development of efficient EDI workflows.
The role will also provide operational support for critical production issues and help ensure the stability and effectiveness of EDI integrations across the enterprise.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Deliver end to end on EDI map development, testing and deployment.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
- Support EDI solution design, mapping specifications, and integration documentation.
- Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and external partners to facilitate EDI implementations and enhancements.
- Assist with SAP ECC support activities and S/4HANA migration projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI and SAP integration issues.
- Provide support for production incidents and business-critical situations.
- Maintain technical documentation and process specifications.
- Support testing, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
Tech Stack & Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in SAP and EDI space combined.
- Proven abilities to build complex maps on Sterling Integrator.
- Read & understand customer EDI specifications, write functional (mapping) specs.
- Setting up SAP Profiles (WE20, EDPAR Tables, Output Types).
- Understanding of Vendor master and customer master.
- Familiarity with SAP batch jobs would be a plus.
- Familiarity with communication protocols AS2, OFTP2, Rosettanet, SFTP, FTPS, SMTP, VAN.
- Strong experience in EDI standards: X12, EDIFACT, VDA, ODETTE, EIAJ, XML Rosetta net and CII.
- Familiarity with SAP knowledge in Sales and distribution would be plus.
- Proven abilities to bridge GAP between business and external parties.
- Troubleshoot IDOC failures and setup proactive monitoring.
