What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to work with one of our US clients, a corporation that, through its subsidiaries, provides life insurance protection targeted to the middle American market. You will help modernize their infrastructure by moving existing on-premises systems to a cloud-native, serverless setup on AWS, and you'll work closely with their development teams to automate everything from CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code to deployments across every environment and the monitoring that keeps it all running. Experience with MLOps or DataOps is a strong plus.
Communication and availability are extremely important in this role. The client's team counts on someone who responds quickly, keeps people in the loop without being asked, and is reachable and present during their working hours.
If you are fully fluent in English, proactive, enjoy solving problems, and have strong attention to detail, this role could be a great fit for you! Our jobs are fully remote, and you will be integrated directly into the client's team, gaining valuable experience and forming meaningful connections.
Here are some of the exciting day-to-day challenges you will face in this role:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Lead and support the migration of on-premises systems to a cloud-native, serverless architecture.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines and automate deployment processes.
- Provision and manage cloud resources with Terraform, keeping infrastructure versioned, reproducible, and consistent across environments.
- Help drive the shift from traditional DevOps practices toward platform engineering, building internal tools that support the development teams.
- Set up monitoring to keep systems reliable, and find and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Work alongside development, security, and operations teams, keeping communication clear and timely.
- Apply security best practices, run regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, and help keep the platform compliant with industry standards.
- Keep documentation of infrastructure, processes, and tools up to date.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members.
You will shine if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on DevOps experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role within software organizations.
- Proven experience with AWS services and cloud migration projects.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Excellent communication skills and the availability to respond quickly and stay connected with the team throughout the workday.
- The ability to write clear, easy-to-follow documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the drive to work with minimal direction.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Nice to have: experience with MLOps or DataOps, such as ML or data pipelines, model deployment, or data platform automation.
- Nice to have: AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate.
What we offer:
- Salary in USD
- 100% Remote
