RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk)
Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
Maintains cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience
Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport product, load/unload trucks
Ability to understand and follow directions
Ability to work independently, at times under pressure
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to read/comprehend sales order, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
Detail oriented and organized, basic math skills
Safe work record and stable work history

The fixed rate is $23.55 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations. BlueLinx also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance starting the first day of the month, and 8 paid holidays per year.
