BMC is looking for a SaaS Platform Product Manager to join our amazing Control-M SaaS PM team in Israel!

Control-M is BMC's industry-leading orchestration and automation platform. Control-M from BMC helps the world's largest companies automate time-sensitive, business-critical workflows. We orchestrate data and ML pipelines, supply chains, production lines, financial transactions, and many other processes in complex IT environments worldwide.

The Control-M product management team defines the future vision for the product, analyses business opportunities, specifies and prioritizes customer requirements, directs product development teams, and supports successful commercial outcomes throughout the product lifecycle. As product manager, you will be or become an expert on the product, market, and related business domains.

In this role, you will:

• Help plan product deliveries, including documenting requirements, prioritizing release content, and publishing roadmaps.
• Work closely with development and QA, solutions marketing, and support teams to ensure that solutions are delivered to plan, sales teams are enabled, and customers are satisfied.
• Work closely with customers, prospects, sales, pre-sales, and customer success to understand current pain points and potential future needs
• Ensure product-market fit in the domains under your responsibility, including maintaining a strategic backlog of prioritized features (we currently use Aha!).
• Engage directly with engineers in deep technical discussions to validate that proposed solutions meet product and customer requirements -serving as a credible technical counterpart to development teams.
• Translate product insights and customer data into compelling, data-driven narratives that align stakeholders, support prioritization decisions, and drive executive buy-in.
• Work in a globally distributed organization and will be expected to collaborate effectively with remote stakeholders.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of product management experience for a SaaS product in an enterprise/B2B software company.
• Proven experience working directly with enterprise customers & a strong customer service ethic.
• Product Management experience from top-tier global technology companies
• Demonstrated experience in product management of SaaS platforms for complex services & deep understanding of SaaS technologies.
• Strong technical acumen - comfortable reading technical specifications, understanding architectural trade-offs, and engaging meaningfully with engineering and architecture teams on solution design. Technical background as a developer is a big plus.
• Hands-on familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native architectures (e.g. EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch), with the ability to evaluate how platform capabilities map to product requirements.
• Ability to hold substantive technical discussions with engineers and validate that a proposed technical solution fits the intended product requirements and customer use cases.
• Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data points into a clear, compelling product story that drives alignment across engineering, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience in operational aspects of SaaS, including handling regulatory and security requirements, onboarding processes, SaaS Analytics, etc.
• Fluency in using AI tools for a variety of day-to-day PM tasks; e.g. market and user research, business cases, writing PRDs / stories, etc. to drive with velocity
• Confidence in presenting to different types of audience (technical/business, junior/senior, small/large).
• Ability to distil complex business and technical requirements into clear, concise requirements and prioritized feature backlogs.
• Proven collaboration with marketing staff to ensure clear internal and external messaging.
• Ability to move seamlessly between the 'big picture' and very low levels of technical and business detail.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• A first degree or equivalent, ideally in a science or engineering discipline.

Advantages:

• Deep domain expertise in one or more of: workload automation, data platforms, orchestration, observability, AI/ML infrastructure.
• Knowledge of various business domains such as Telecom, Finance, Retail, IT Service Management etc.
• Knowledge / experience of agile methods (especially lean); familiarity with Aha!, Jira, Confluence.
