You'll serve as the central coordination point between Engineering, Field Operations, Performance teams, Customer-facing teams, and the Network Operations Center (NOC). Your work will directly contribute to maintaining network stability, improving operational processes, and ensuring successful execution of change activities across a 24x7 environment.
*This role will have a fairly standard work schedule but will need to work off hours for major changes
What you’ll be doing
As a member of the Network Operations team, you'll be responsible for managing the change lifecycle, facilitating cross-functional coordination, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
Change Governance & Coordination
- Own the NOC change lifecycle from intake through closure within the designated ITSM platform (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Ensure change records include appropriate risk assessments, implementation plans, rollback procedures, and communication plans.
- Coordinate change scheduling activities to avoid conflicts and minimize customer and operational impact.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders throughout the change management process.
Operational Oversight & Change Execution
- Provide real-time visibility and status updates to NOC personnel during maintenance windows and active change events.
- Coordinate monitoring suppression, maintenance modes, and alert bypass activities when required.
- Serve as the primary NOC escalation point for issues arising during change activities.
- Support post-change validation activities and ensure successful completion of change implementations.
Risk Management & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor compliance with established SLAs related to change execution and completion.
- Track change performance metrics, including success rates, rollbacks, incidents, and on-time completion.
- Analyze change-related incidents and identify opportunities for corrective action and process improvement.
- Assess operational risk during live network events and recommend pausing or rolling back changes when necessary.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Field Operations, Performance teams, and Customer-facing organizations to ensure coordinated execution of network changes.
- Support incident reviews, root cause analysis activities, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level reporting.
- Produce regular reports on change volume, success rates, rollback frequency, and risk trends.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of change management standards, processes, procedures, and tools.
What you’ll bring
Think you could make a difference here? We're looking for someone who brings strong operational leadership, risk management expertise, and exceptional coordination skills. You will also bring some of the following:

- Strong understanding of ITIL principles and frameworks; ITIL certification preferred.

- Familiarity with incident management, problem management, release management, CMDB, and asset management practices.
