What Makes This Role Different:

This is not simply a traditional Software Development Manager role.

The position sits at the intersection of software engineering, digital transformation, business operations, and enterprise technology.

The successful candidate will need to balance two seemingly opposing objectives: enable innovation and speed while creating the discipline required to scale and sustain solutions.

The ideal candidate is therefore both a strong people leader and a credible technology leader. Someone who can work with developers at a technical level, challenge architectural decisions when necessary, engage senior business leaders, and establish the operating model required to turn decentralized digital development into a scalable enterprise capability.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • You possess 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • You have proven experience delivering software solutions from concept through production and ongoing support, with strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • You have experience designing architectures for cloud, integration, data platforms, AI/ML, or digital manufacturing (aerospace experience is an asset).
  • You master tools and technologies relevant to architecture (e.g., Azure, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, AI frameworks, enterprise integration platforms).
  • You demonstrate excellent analytical and communication skills; you easily synthesize complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You can communicate in both French and English, written and spoken.

Now that you can see yourself in this role, apply and join the Bombardier Team!

Please note: You don’t need all the skills, knowledge, and experience listed to apply for this position. We’re not looking for the perfect candidate, we’re looking for great talent and passionate individuals.

Bombardier is an equal opportunity employer and encourages persons of any race, religion, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, immigration status, disability or other applicable legally protected characteristics to apply.
