Capture Professional

The Opportunity:

Drive the capture of business development opportunities, including shaping, proposal, contract start-up, and execution. Develop capture artifacts such as capture plans, call plans, competitor analysis, and preliminary win strategies. Support customer engagement efforts, including shaping outreach, gathering customer insights, and participating in customer meetings alongside account leadership. Develop win themes, discriminators, and teaming strategies. Partner with solution architects and SMEs to translate customer needs into viable technical and management approaches. Support the development of pricing strategies with guidance from pricing and finance teams. Coordinate and lead gate reviews, status briefings, action tracking, and documentation needed throughout the capture lifecycle. Assist in identifying potential teammates and subcontractors, and help manage teaming documentation. Facilitate the transition from capture to proposal, ensuring alignment with win strategy and customer priorities. Contribute to the continuous improvement of capture processes, tools, and best practices. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision, and mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experiencein capture management or business development within DoW defense agencies
• Experience with DoW acquisition processes, customer missions, and the federal procurement environment, including FAR and DFARS
• Experience supporting or contributing to proposals or capture efforts
• Experience preparing capture materials or customer engagement documents
• Ability to analyze customer data, competitor information, and market trends
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits and thrive in a fast-paced and high-stakes environment
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners
• Experience successfully capturing large and strategic opportunities
• Experience in the business development lifecycle, and with solution or product selling methodologies
• Knowledge of the U.S. defense ecosystem such as programs, acquisition pathways, procurement trends, and key decision-makers
• Ability to communicate multi-step and interdependent activities to capture teams and ensure efficient execution of captured efforts
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time-sensitive, and often multitasking environment
• Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possession of excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and business acumen skills
• Possession of excellent organization and time management skills
