DevOps Engineer

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud”, but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps Engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges. As an experienced Platform DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change.

On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with currentcontainer software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are metthroughout the containerization process. You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experiencewith AWS cloud building and supporting DevOps tools and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)pipelines
• 4+ years of experiencewith containerization, including building images and orchestrating deployments in Kubernetes
• 4+ years of experiencewith Infrastructure-as-Code environments, including automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing
• 3+ years of experiencemanaging tools deployed with Helm, and with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Experiencedeveloping custom applications and supporting them in a production environment
• Knowledge ofcontainer networking, monitoring, and storage solutions
• Knowledge ofcontainer security technologies, and evaluating and mitigating or resolving vulnerability findings
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability toobtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certificationwithin 6 months of hire date

Nice If You Have:

• Experienceidentifying and implementing automation to improve user experience
• Experiencewith scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
• Experiencewith system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
• Experienceleveraging YAML for configuration
• Experiencewith the OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model or DevSecOps Maturity Model
• Bachelor's degreepreferred;Master’s degreea plus
• Cloud Certificationsuch as AWS, Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Google Certified Professional - Cloud Architect, or MCSE - Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Certification
