Java Software Engineer, Mid

You’ll collaborate with your team as you build integrated solutions from scratch, implement customizable features to enhance existing systems, and support site maintenance.

This role will support a client's Solutions Business Management (SBM)program. We’re looking for a dynamic software developer with Java-rich client and web application development experienceand strong core Java knowledge. You will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and modifying enterprise-wide systems andapplication software. This is a client with an important mission in support of the U.S. Navy. You Have:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering or software development

• Experiencewith HTML, CSS, JavaScript for responsive web interfaces, object-oriented principles and design patterns, and Java for backend development, including Spring MVC

• Experienceusing Git for version control and with software configuration management tools and processes to ensure code integrity

• Experiencewith Microsoft ADO for project management, continuous integration, and deployment strategies

• Experiencewith database technologies such as MySQL, T-SQL, or SQL Server and tools such as TOAD for database management

• Experiencewith Agile methodologies and Waterfall

• Knowledge ofobject-oriented principles and design patterns in practical software development

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degreein Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certificationsuch as Security+ CE, or SSCP Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experiencein Java, including Spring Boot or Hibernate, and . NET, including C#, .NET Core, or ASP.NET MVC

• Experiencewith RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and service-oriented design

• Experiencewith version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines

• Experiencewith containerization, including Docker or Kubernetes, and orchestration tools

• Experiencewith front-end technologies such as Angular, React, or Blazor

• Knowledge ofcloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, software design principles such as SOLID, DRY, or KISS, design patterns, and DevOps tools and practices

• Possession ofexcellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration

• Top Secret clearance

• DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certificationsuch as CISSP, CASP+, or Security X Certification

• Java or .NET Certifications
