Sustainment Data Scientist

On our team, you’ll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. Ultimately, you’ll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

You Have:
Experiencewith data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
Experiencewith statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis, including R or Python
Experienceanalyzing structured or unstructured data sources
Experiencedeveloping predictive data models, quantitative analyses, or visualization of targeted data sources
Knowledge ofMachine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
Knowledge oftext mining or machine learning techniques
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
2+ years of experiencein the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL/NoSQL
2+ years of experiencewith Reliability Block Diagrams, Fault Tree Analyses, Failure Modes Effectiveness and Corrective Action (FMECA), and Level of Repair Analyses (LORA)
2+ years of experiencewith Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and Mean Logistics Delay Time (MLDT)
Experiencewith Littoral Combat Ship, AEGIS, US Coast Guard, FFG, and various Surface ship platforms and Combat System elements
Master’s degree
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
