Senior Cloud Engineer

Duties:

• Support the development and implementation of the organisation's infrastructure strategy
• Design and deploy cloud solutions aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
• Develop technical specifications and architectural blueprints for highly available, resilient, and scalable environments
• Provide guidance on AWS and other cloud technologies to ensure optimal service selection and cost efficiency
• Assist in defining and maintaining cloud security standards, procedures, and controls
• Support the identification and mitigation of infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational risks
• Engineer, manage, and support cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies
• Manage cloud environments, hosted services, and on-premises infrastructure platforms
• Perform operational maintenance, upgrades, patching, and ongoing support of servers and operating systems
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and business continuity processes
• Ensure infrastructure reliability, performance, scalability, and security
• Support platform optimisation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Act as a technical advisor for new infrastructure and platform requests
• Assist with workload prioritisation and allocation across platform initiatives
• Promote engineering best practices, automation, and operational excellence
• Mentor and support technical team members
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of DevOps and Platform Engineering capabilities

Requirements:

• Deep experience with AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, EKS/ECS
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, governance, security, and operational best practices
• Proficiency in AWS, Python, and Golang
• Solid knowledge of Cloud Architecture and DevOps principles
• Proven track record in infrastructure design, deployment, and management
• Ability to develop and implement automation solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
