Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical designs for new data centers, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Design medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems and other critical electrical infrastructure
  • Prepare drawings, single-line diagrams, specifications, calculations, and other technical documentation
  • Support equipment selection and ensure designs meet requirements for capacity, redundancy, reliability, safety, and energy efficiency
  • Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, structural, architectural, civil, controls, and fire-protection disciplines
  • Participate in design reviews and resolve design conflicts, spatial constraints, and technical interface issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide technical support during procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and site inspections

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or technical qualification in electrical engineering, electrical design, building services engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant experience designing electrical systems and critical power infrastructure for data centers or comparable mission-critical infrastructure
  • Experience using BIM and CAD tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, or Navisworks
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical regulations, technical standards, and requirements for reliability, redundancy, maintainability, and safety
  • Experience coordinating electrical designs across multiple disciplines and project stakeholders
  • Structured and detail-oriented, with strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience applying electrical designs in construction or operational environments
  • Strong communication skills in English; Icelandic is an advantage

What's in it for you:

  • Be part of a fast-growing data center platform with significant global expansion
  • A collaborative and professional work environment with opportunities for development
  • A competitive package reflecting the scope and impact of the role
