Bosch is a German engineering and technology group founded in Stuttgart in 1886 by Robert Bosch as a workshop for precision mechanics and electrical engineering. It is the largest automotive supplier in the world, making braking, steering, powertrain, sensor and driver assistance systems for nearly every carmaker, and it also produces power tools, home appliances through BSH, industrial drives through Rexroth, and building security and heating systems. Around ninety per cent of the company is owned by a charitable foundation, an ownership structure that gives it unusual freedom to invest across long research cycles including semiconductors and hydrogen.

At Bosch Rexroth, everything revolves around movement and the success of our customers. With our networked drive and control technologies as well as digital solutions, their machines and systems work efficiently, safely and powerfully. We offer components, system solutions and services for mobile and industrial hydraulic applications as well as for factory automation.

In all areas, we value the know-how and commitment of our employees and enable dynamic careers in an international environment.

Around 33,800 people in over 80 countries - and one corporate purpose: "We move industries to make our planet a better place."

Do you want to make a difference? Then we look forward to receiving your application to Bosch Rexroth.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop Supervisor - Hydraulic Power Units to lead our Hydraulic Power Unit team.

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day workshop operations, leading a team of skilled Hydraulic Fitters and Technicians to ensure hydraulic systems and power units are assembled, tested and delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise in hydraulic systems who enjoys leading people, developing team capability and driving continuous improvement in a collaborative workshop environment.

What you will be doing

  • Workshop Leadership & Supervision: Lead and support a team of Hydraulic Fitters and Technicians, overseeing daily activities and maintaining a productive, collaborative workshop environment.
  • Production Planning & Coordination: Coordinate workshop activities, allocate resources and manage production schedules to ensure customer requirements and delivery deadlines are met.
  • Hydraulic Assembly & Technical Support: Oversee the assembly, integration and testing of hydraulic power units, providing hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
  • Quality & Technical Standards: Ensure hydraulic systems are assembled and tested in accordance with engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics and quality standards.
  • Safety & Workshop Standards: Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring safe work practices, compliance with HSE requirements and adherence to 5S principles.
  • Team Development & Performance: Coach and mentor employees, identify training needs and build technical capability across the workshop team.
  • Continuous Improvement & Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Planning and Sales to resolve production challenges and identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency, quality and processes.
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting or a related discipline, with strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems and fluid power applications.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience in a workshop, manufacturing or production environment, ideally involving hydraulic power units or hydraulic systems.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a workshop team is highly regarded, though not essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, mechanical engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills in hydraulic assembly, testing, fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Good organisational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate competing priorities and meet production deadlines.
  • A proactive and collaborative leadership approach, with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
