Responsibilities:
- Lead fiduciary accounting engagements for trusts, estates, conservatorships, and guardianships, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional client service.
- Review fiduciary accountings, trustee reports, and supporting schedules for accuracy, quality, and compliance with fiduciary and court requirements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to trustees, beneficiaries, attorneys, family offices, and other professional advisors, resolving complex accounting and administration matters.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop team members across the U.S. and India, providing ongoing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
- Manage engagement budgets, staffing, workflow, and deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
- Drive operational excellence by developing processes, training programs, and best practices that enhance efficiency and consistency across the practice.
- Support the growth of BPM's Fiduciary Accounting Services practice through relationship building, business development activities, and identifying opportunities to expand services for existing clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of fiduciary accounting, trust administration, estate administration, or related experience.
- Experience preparing and reviewing fiduciary accountings.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- CPA designation.
- Experience with California fiduciary accountings and California Probate Code requirements.
- Public accounting or professional services experience.
- Experience working with offshore or distributed teams.
