Master Data Lead - Business Side (SAP S/4HANA)

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Master Data Lead to join an international SAP S/4HANA implementation project for a leading global FMCG/CPG company.

This is a business-facing role focused on coordinating, aligning and closing master data topics during the testing and go-live preparation phases. We are looking for someone who understands how master data supports business processes and can drive topics through to resolution in a complex project environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and align master data activities on the business side of the project
• Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, local markets and other business functions
• Drive decisions related to key data domains, including material, customer and vendor master data
• Support data preparation and validation for UAT and go-live
• Identify data gaps, quality issues and dependencies, and coordinate their resolution
• Ensure that agreed actions, decisions and data-related deliverables are completed on time
• Cooperate with IT, data migration and data governance teams
• Support business readiness for the SAP S/4HANA go-live

Candidate profile

• Hands-on experience with master data from a business perspective, gained in a role such as Master Data Specialist, Key User, Business Data Lead or Supply Chain/Operations Specialist
• Good understanding of business processes and their relationship with master data
• Experience working with SAP; knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or SAP MDG would be an advantage
• Previous involvement in implementation or rollout projects, particularly in areas such as UAT, data migration, cutover, go-live or hypercare
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to coordinate activities across multiple functions and drive decisions
• Proactive, hands-on and delivery-focused approach
• Very good command of English
