Clients typically develop a working relationship with one Outside GC lawyer and have access to the whole team for specific subject-matter experience.

YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM...

• At least 10+ years of corporate legal practice, including experience as an in-house attorney, serving as a General Counsel and/or in another senior in-house legal role and 3+ years of law firm training
• Substantive legal experience as a broad corporate generalist
• Demonstrated success as a practical, business-focused, and responsive legal partner  
• J.D. from a nationally accredited law school
• State bar membership in state where reside/practice
• Specialized Expertise:  
  • Deep technology transactions experience (SaaS, cloud, software licensing, vendor/procurement deals); international experience helpful but not required
  • Strong practical AI literacy with foundation models, RAG, agents, training, fine-tuning, outputs, and feedback loops
  • Experience drafting and negotiating AI-related contract provisions such as data use, training rights, outputs, IP, confidentiality
  • Ability to advise on AI governance frameworks as the relate to vendor adoption, internal use, and risk allocation in technology transactions
  • Background in enterprise software, AI/ML, cloud, data platforms, or digital media
  • Privacy certification (e.g., CIPP)
  • Experience advising on data privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance as part of technology transactions and vendor relationships
  • Technical fluency and comfort engaging with engineering and product teams (formal technical background a plus)
  • Exposure to AI infrastructure, including hardware-software integration or compute/vendor arrangements (e.g. GPUs) preferred but not required
