Founding Engineer
About the Role
This is a founding engineering position at an early-stage enterprise AI startup building automation tools that help teams offload repetitive, screen-based workflows to AI. You'll work closely with customers and the founding team to shape both product direction and core technical infrastructure - with real ownership from day one.
What You'll Do
Build and ship product features end-to-end for enterprise customers.
Design and implement data pipelines to convert and aggregate large volumes of video and other unstructured data into a data lake.
Integrate LLM and VLM pipelines into production product workflows.
Develop full-stack components using Python and FastAPI.
Collaborate directly with enterprise customers (including PE portfolio company teams) to map processes and identify automation opportunities.
Enable scalable integrations to support land-and-expand customer strategies.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of full-stack engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
Hands-on experience building production-ready RESTful APIs with FastAPI in scalable systems - this is a must.
Proven experience integrating, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs and/or VLMs in production pipelines.
Strong Python proficiency for production environments.
Experience designing and implementing data pipelines for large volumes of unstructured video data, including video processing and analytics workflows.
Prior early-stage startup experience with direct involvement in product and technical decisions.
Comfort working directly with enterprise customers to understand and solve process challenges.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure, and deployment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; thrives in small, cross-functional teams.
Bonus: experience with data lake architecture and scalable API design for customer integrations.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: €80,000 - €120,000 per year
Equity: Meaningful founding-level equity
