2027 Summer Intern Global Procurement

Join Bristol Myers Squibb’s Global Procurement team for a 10-week paid summer internship, designed for students majoring in Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, Communications or related fields. Interns will work on impactful projects supporting our medicines and participate in an orientation covering company structure, products, and brands.

Throughout the internship, you’ll receive coaching and guidance from program leaders, sponsors, and engagement managers within the BMS Global Procurement community, participate in an orientation covering our company structure, products, and brands, and gain a comprehensive introduction to BMS Procurement. The program also offers exposure to senior leadership, developmental feedback, and opportunities for teambuilding and networking with professionals across BMS, including our Global Finance and Accounting teams, providing a valuable platform to develop your skills, expand your professional network, and explore a future career in procurement with a leading global biopharmaceutical company. Top-performing interns will be strongly considered for full-time opportunities in the Procurement Leadership Development program upon graduation.

Program Dates: Monday, June 7- Friday, August 13, 2027. Applications are currently being accepted and may be selected on a rolling basis. Locations include Princeton/Lawrenceville, NJ, New Brunswick, NJ or Tampa, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute category strategy activities under the guidance of performance, operations and strategic category leaders
• Perform value analysis on costs and supplier quotes
• Recommend process improvements for efficiency
• Manage day-to-day supply issues and communicate information to internal customers and suppliers
• Support PO conversion and other non-transactional tasks
• Communicate issues to leadership and drive for resolution
• Manage PO changes and communicate trends

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program majoring in Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields at an accredited institution, with an expected graduation date of Spring/Summer 2028.
• All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. both at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment. Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Must include GPA on resume - minimum GPA 3.0
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven capability to effectively communicate within work and/or academic environments, with the ability to adapt messages to suit various audiences.

Key Qualifications & Attributes:

• Interest in a full-time procurement career after graduation
• Demonstrated leadership in academic, extracurricular, or professional settings
• Internship experience in procurement, finance, or supply chain
• Working knowledge of or genuine interest in AI and automation, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies as they emerge
• Experience analyzing large data sets
• Collaborative team player
• Completion of Excel or data visualization coursework/certification
• Strong strategic thinking and relationship management
• Effective project management and cross-departmental communication
• Excellent time management; able to work independently and in teams
• Self-motivated and compliant with policies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Data-driven and inquisitive
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong networking and influence across disciplines

Compensation Overview:

Pay for this internship/co-op position is provided in accordance with local market practices and applicable laws. Pay may be offered as an hourly rate and/or monthly stipend, or other locally compliant structure. Pay is determined based on objective factors such as academic level, relevant experience, skills, and work location.

Interns and co-op participants may be eligible for limited benefits depending on program structure, work location, and local requirements. Eligibility and offerings are governed by applicable policies and employment regulations.

This is a temporary, time-bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co-op program and does not guarantee continued or permanent employment following program completion.
