Data Architect

We are seeking a Data and AI Architect to define and deliver a target data and AI architecture on Azure. You will play a pivotal role in powering our digital transformation, connecting underwriting, claims, delegated authority, and exposure data within a governed, high-performing framework.

Responsibilities:

• Architecture Strategy: Design and evolve an enterprise-grade, cloud-native Azure data & AI platform (data lake, data warehouse, delta lakehouses).
• AI & Automation: Design AI-enabling data assets to support predictive, analytical, generative, and agentic AI use cases across the insurance value chain.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with product owners, data scientists, and engineers to build solutions and mentor technical talent.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure architectures are secure, explainable, and compliant with Lloyd's and FCA regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Core Technical: Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Python, SQL Server, Databricks/Spark, Delta Lake, CI/CD.
• Data Architecture: Strong data modelling, master data management, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native design.
• AI/ML Tooling: MLOps (MLflow, Azure ML), LLMOps (LangChain, Vector DBs, RAG), and Agentic AI frameworks (CrewAI, LangGraph, AutoGen).
• Domain Experience: Speciality Insurance / Reinsurance / London Market experience preferred.
• Desirable: Lloyd's initiatives (CDR, DDM, Blueprint Two), Azure/AI certifications, and Data Mesh experience.
