Role Purpose

Reporting to the CoE Head of Central Services, the FP&A CoE Manager - Indirects is responsible for driving reporting excellence and process efficiency for the global Indirects portfolio. This role leads the delivery of standardised reporting and ensures high data quality across Professional Services and Network Indirects (encompassing Local Estates, IOPS, Resources Local D&T, and Local Depreciation). The postholder is responsible for the technical initiation of planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, providing the "first-pass" narrative and the high-quality foundational analysis that enables Business Partnering teams to drive strategic decision-making.

Working in close alignment with the other FP&A CoE Manager Indirects and the wider CoE Central Services team, this role acts as the technical bridge between data production and business insight. They play a critical part in embedding best-practice processes and automated solutions that connect the Centre of Excellence with Business Decision Support (BDS). By identifying trends and ensuring a consistent, globally aligned approach to management information, the CoE Manager ensures the FP&A team maintains a rigorous, efficient, and transparent financial framework for all global indirect costs.

Role Accountabilities

Professional Services Indirects Delivery & BDS Partnership

Initiate the delivery of core FP&A processes, including the consolidation of monthly performance reporting and the technical setup of budgeting/forecasting cycles for Professional Services and Network Indirects. Act as the technical lead for initiating plans and reforecasts, ensuring all templates, data structures, and baseline reports are ready for deployment to BDS teams. Provide foundational variance analysis and “first-pass” commentary, identifying baseline trends in Local Estates, IOPS, Local D&T, Resources and Depreciation to assist BDS partners. Maintain close operational relationships with FP&A BDS teams, serving as their primary delivery partner to align on timelines, reporting expectations, and data requirements.

Data Integrity & Reporting Excellence

Create and maintain the suite of standard reports, ensuring they accurately reflect the cost-allocation logic and functional needs of the Professional Services portfolios. Execute rigorous data quality checks and error monitoring, ensuring total accuracy in the treatment of indirect costs before data is handed over to BDS stakeholders. Collaborate with the Process Excellence team to drive standardisation, automation, and simplification of indirect cost reporting, enhancing consistency across the CoE.

Operational Excellence & Tool Optimisation

Champion the use of Anaplan to automate the consolidation of complex indirect cost data, enhancing analytical depth and delivery speed. Collaborate with Anaplan Product Development to ensure Indirect-specific requirements, such as complex depreciation or global cost allocations, are accurately captured in the tool. Identify and execute process improvements within the CoE scope to reduce manual data handling and increase the value-add of the foundational analysis provided to BDS.

Knowledge & Experience

Education

Essential:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
• Anaplan certifications (e.g., Anaplan Model Builder Level 3 Solution Architect)
• Professional finance qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent
• Training or certification in Agile methodologies (Scrum Master, Product Owner)

Desirable:

• Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, CPA, or MBA Finance

Experience

Essential:

• Strong demonstrable experience of operating in international and multi-cultural organisations
• Experience of providing comprehensive finance and business partner support to senior stakeholders
• Commercial finance experience gained in an organisation undergoing change and driving for growth
• Report writing and presentation skills

Desirable:

• Experience working with global finance transformation programmes
• Expertise in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Anaplan, Hyperion)
