Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical support and guidance on High Voltage engineering matters to plant management, engineers and project teams.
  • Leading, coaching and developing Team Leaders and craft personnel to ensure safe and effective delivery of maintenance activities.
  • Planning and coordinating routine maintenance, repairs and minor project work to minimise operational disruption and business risk.
  • Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with High Voltage Safety Rules and company procedures.
  • Supporting the safe operation, maintenance and reliability of the site's High Voltage distribution network.
  • Managing maintenance activities delivered by internal teams, resident contractors and external specialist contractors.
  • Promoting and reinforcing safe working practices through visible leadership and coaching.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting fault diagnosis, breakdown response and restoration activities when required.
  • Participating in an out-of-hours standby rota to provide technical support for the site's High Voltage network.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with contractors and specialist service providers.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capabilities.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to operational challenges.

Experience as an Authorised Person, Senior Authorised Person, or similar High Voltage responsibility holder would be advantageous but is not essential.
