Senior ETL (Informatica) & SQL Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and data-aggregation requirements, including source-to-target mappings, transformations, lookups, business rules, and data-quality needs.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and support Informatica ETL workflows, mappings, sessions, transformations, and scheduling processes.
• Develop extract, transform, and load processes to support operational data, reference data, data warehouses, reporting, and analytics environments.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, database code, and data-processing logic using MySQL and other applicable SQL technologies.
• Design and enhance physical and logical data models, database tables, relationships, and data structures to support application and reporting requirements.
• Apply Informatica capabilities such as Workflow Monitor, Scheduler, gpLoad, pushdown optimization, and parallelization to improve ETL efficiency and reliability.
• Establish transformation logic, exception handling, reconciliation processes, and operational controls to promote data accuracy and system performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, ETL failures, slow-running jobs, SQL performance concerns, and production incidents.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and specifications; document interfaces, workflows, conversions, reports, and technical solutions.
• Work closely with database development, application development, QA, client implementation, client support, and business teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in requirements workshops, technical design sessions, code reviews, test planning, and QA/UAT support activities.
• Provide effort estimates, identify delivery risks and dependencies, and recommend scope or schedule adjustments when appropriate.
• Follow Broadridge SDLC, security, coding, source-control, and technical standards while delivering high-quality work on schedule.
• Collaborate with team members, communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, and support junior associates through established development processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in ETL development, SQL development, database development, application development, or a comparable technical environment.
• Hands-on Informatica application-development experience, including designing workflows, mappings, sessions, transformations, and lookups.
• Experience with Informatica performance and operational features, including pushdown optimization, parallelization, gpLoad, Workflow Monitor, and Scheduler.
• Strong SQL development and query-optimization skills, including experience with MySQL.
• Working knowledge of T-SQL, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, XML, JSON, and UNIX shell scripting.
• Experience with ETL techniques, data warehousing, operational data stores, data modeling, data aggregation, and analytical data systems.
• Experience identifying and resolving ETL and SQL performance issues.
• Working knowledge of Git or comparable source-code version-control tools.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies, system design, and software delivery practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing data solutions for financial software or the banking, mutual fund, investment accounting, asset management, wealth management, or portfolio-management industries.
• Experience supporting enterprise data platforms and client-facing applications.
• Experience facilitating technical workshops and communicating requirements, designs, and issue resolution with users at all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of additional relational or NoSQL technologies, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Experience with DevOps practices, deployment automation, and automated testing for data applications.
