Integration Engineer - Intern

The platform automates complex legal billing and financial workflows, sitting at the intersection of legal practice and financial management, handling billing, matter management, payments, and deep integrations with the Financial Management Systems (FMS) used by leading law firms. The integration team sits at the heart of the company: every new client onboard depends on reliable, well-built integrations connecting Oddr to the client's existing systems. Oddr is now expanding this team.

Responsibilities:

• Build and configure integrations between Oddr and client Financial Management Systems (FMS).
• Write data transformation logic to map, clean, and validate data across systems.
• Diagnose and debug integration failures by reading logs, tracing API calls, and identifying root causes.
• Work with SQL to query, validate, and reconcile data during onboarding and go-live.
• Collaborate with the delivery team and directly with clients to understand integration requirements.
• Write clear documentation for integrations built, so others can maintain them.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving team processes and tooling.
• Support live client integrations, respond to issues, investigate anomalies, and apply fixes.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of core CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and OOP.
• Working knowledge of SQL joins, aggregations, and subqueries.
• Ability to read, understand, and explain code you have written.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and picking things up quickly without a detailed spec.

Good to have:

• Experience with REST APIs, making calls, reading documentation, and handling responses.
• Exposure to a scripting or backend language, Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar.
• Familiarity with JSON and XML data formats.
• A personal or academic project involving data processing, APIs, or system integration.
• Basic exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
