  • Platform Operations: Support the onboarding and ongoing operation of investment products and distribution relationships. Assist with investor trade reconciliations, activity reporting, new product and platform launches, coordination with third-party service providers and other projects across the Private Wealth platform.
  • Fund Accounting: Support fund accounting and reporting activities across investment products. Assist with financial and operational reporting, fund deliverables and special projects, with exposure to areas such as financial statements, holdings and performance, budgeting, expenses and tax-related reporting.
  • Finance & Accounting: Support the Finance team with a range of recurring and project-based responsibilities. This may include assisting with accounts payable, employee expense reviews, financial processes and other daily, weekly and monthly activities.
  • Legal & Regulatory: Support compliance and regulatory initiatives across the business, including monitoring and testing activities, policy and procedure reviews, regulatory research, marketing reviews and other projects that support the firm’s regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Private Wealth and the broader Brookfield organization on projects and initiatives throughout the summer.
  • Participate in team meetings, training and development opportunities designed to build knowledge of Brookfield, alternative investments and the private wealth industry.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Legal Studies or a related field.
  • Strong interest in asset management, alternative investments and/or financial markets.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing needs.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.
