We’relooking for UI React Engineers to help modernize a mission-critical system used to support complex manual user workflows. In this role, you’llbuild intuitive, performant user interfaces that help users ingest, navigate, and analyze information from a variety of file types. The system applies named entity recognition and related data-processing capabilities to reduce manual effort, surface key insights, and improve the speed and accuracy of mission workflows.
What you will do in this role:
- Work closely with teammates and stakeholders in a Lean Agile environment to build mission-critical production applications focused on data discovery and analysis
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Leverage modern build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and delivery speed
- Design and build modern, performant, responsive user interfaces using React and related technologies
- Collaborate with UI and backend engineers and product stakeholders to deliver intuitive and accessible user experiences that integrate with RESTful APIs
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph at time of application
- Experience with source control (e.g.Git) and CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins(preferred), AWS CodeBuild,GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and OOP basedsoftware in a containerized cloud environment (AWS preferred) leveragingfoundational services for computing, identity management, and networking.
- Proficiencyin modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Proficiencyin building frontend applications with React and related libraries (e.g., React Router, Redux, Zustand, etc.)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills necessary to perform job duties and collaborate with team members
- Candidates must maintaina primary residence within a two-hourdrive of Herndon, VA to support onsite collaboration as needed.
Desired skills:
- Contributions to open-source libraries or community projects or personal projects
- Experience with UI unit and E2Etesting tools and frameworks such as (e.g., Jest, Vitest, Playwright, Cypress)
- Familiarity with design systems and componentlibraries (e.g., Storybook, Tailwind CSS, Material UI)
- Understanding of accessibility and usability best practices and tooling (e.g., JAWS, Lighthouse, Axe Devtools)
- Experience with NextJS, Astro, or other React Metaframeworks
The base salary pay range for this role is $96,900 - $247,900. This range reflects base compensation only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or additional pay incentives associated with the opportunity.
