Job Description

Job Summary

The Production Operator Autoclave - Bactec is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of autoclave equipment and related processes within the Bactec production line, ensuring the sterility and quality of products according to established procedures and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor autoclave equipment used for sterilizing Bactec components and products, adhering to all safety protocols and operating procedures.

  • Load and unload materials into autoclaves, ensuring proper positioning and securement for effective sterilization cycles.

  • Monitor cycle parameters (temperature, pressure, time) and review results accurately, identifying and reporting any deviations or malfunctions.

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of autoclave units and associated equipment to maintain optimal performance and compliance.

  • Follow strict aseptic techniques and good manufacturing practices (GMP) to prevent contamination and maintain product quality.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed production records, including batch records, equipment logs, and sterilization reports.

  • Collaborate with quality control, engineering, and other production teams to resolve issues and optimize production processes.

  • Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

  • Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or food industry.

  • Previous experience operating autoclaves or other sterilization equipment is highly desirable.

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed operating procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly.

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.

  • Physical ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a controlled environment.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
