Job Description
The Cost Accounting Manager will provide Financial/Accounting support for the ADx Business in Cayey. This includes providing financial support and leadership to Finance and Operations leaders, playing a key role in establishing and achieving financial objectives and formulating and executing Operations strategies. This position requires a strong cost accounting background, experience with monthly plant performance reporting, and willing to managing multiple deliverables.
This position will maintain accounting and reporting procedures resulting in accurate product costs and manufacturing performance reporting. Promote change, as needed, to ensure compliance to GAAP/SOX, reviewing and delivering recommendations for continuous improvement, and clearly communicating relevant financial information to plant leadership and ADx Cayey Business.
Essential Duties and Position Responsibilities:
Leads all aspects of all planning, reporting, and analysis of Standard Product Costing, Manufacturing Variances, Inventory, and its component parts.
Developing standard costs.
Ensuring reserves are calculated appropriately
Ensuring manufacturing performance is accurately reported
Maintain business visibility to all risks & opportunities in the manufacturing space.
Coordinate the preparation of annual budget and forecasting.
Partners with the Manufacturing Facilitators and Functional Area Leaders to optimize finance related operational decisions, ensure appropriate financial/accounting, introduce process control as needed, and safeguard company assets.
Ensures financial reports and records are prepared in compliance with US GAAP and Waters financial policies, and financial controls are maintained and that the requirements of the Sarbanes/Oxley Act are met.
Provide financial advices and analysis to support capital projects.
Inventory Cycle Counts evaluation and assure compliance with Financial Policy.
Assists both internal and external auditors with their review of the Waters ADx Systems financial records.
Qualifications:
Strong cost accounting experience with SAP and BPC system experience required.
Prior experience with Plant Dashboard reporting and commentary preferred.
Advanced MS Excel proficiency (pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUPS, etc.)
Proficient with MS tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Superb interpersonal skills, strong collaboration, and proven ability to build rapport with all business partners, and influence at all levels of management through informed discussions and presentations. Strong problem-solving analytical skills
Organized with good analytical skills, and the ability to lead projects.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, exciting environment with strong attention to detail.
Strong desire to learn and advance within the finance function
Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA, and/or CPA/CMA preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant dynamic cost accounting / finance experience in a manufacturing environment: manufacturing operations, product costing, manufacturing variances and inventory control, financial analysis, COGS, CAPEX, and budgeting & forecasting experience required.
