Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of procurement experience in the construction, contracting, or engineering industry. Experience in the wastewater treatment (WWTP/STP/WTP) sector will be considered a strong advantage. The candidate should also be proficient in Tally ERP and capable of handling procurement activities efficiently while maintaining cost control and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
Obtain quotations, compare prices, and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
Coordinate with project, engineering, and warehouse teams regarding material requirements and delivery schedules.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Ensure all purchased materials meet the required technical specifications and quality standards.
Track deliveries and resolve any supply delays or discrepancies.
Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.
Process procurement transactions and maintain accurate records using Tally ERP.
Assist in inventory monitoring and stock replenishment.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Support management with procurement reports and other administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of procurement experience in the construction, contracting, or engineering industry.
Experience in the Wastewater Treatment (WWTP/STP/WTP) industry is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Tally ERP is required.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and purchasing documentation.
Good negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
Familiarity with local UAE suppliers and procurement practices is an advantage.

Ability to analyze quotations and prepare cost comparisons.
Knowledge of engineering materials, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil items.
Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.

Experience Required
