Duties and Responsibilities:
Write clear, well-structured test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria, covering positive, negative, boundary, positive, and edge cases.
Run manual and regression tests on web and mobile apps.
Validate backend data using SQL queries to confirm that information displayed in the applications matches what is stored in the database.
Test APIs and integrations using tools like Postman, including checking request payloads, responses and error handling.
Log defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots and expected vs actual results, then follow them through to retest and closure.
Keep test cases and execution results up to date in our test management tool.
Take part in stand-ups, sprint planning and story refinement, and ask questions early when requirements are unclear.
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of manual testing and the ability to execute test cases for web and mobile applications.
Proficiency in SQL and database validation for verifying application data.
Experience or familiarity with API testing using tools such as Postman.
Ability to identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and test evidence.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment.
