Pre-Sales Engineer – Enterprise IT

ByteBridge is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer - Enterprise IT to support our growing enterprise IT and data center solutions business.
This is a customer-facing, solution-focused role working closely with our sales team, customers, technology partners, and engineering teams. You will understand customer requirements, design suitable IT infrastructure solutions, and develop technical proposals that address both business and technical needs.
The role is focused on solution design and pre-sales, rather than day-to-day onsite installation or operations.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the sales team to understand customer business and technical requirements.
Conduct technical discovery sessions and translate requirements into suitable IT infrastructure solutions.
Design solutions across enterprise networking, compute/server, storage, and data center IT infrastructure.
Develop solution architectures, technical diagrams, specifications, and solution documentation.
Prepare BOM/BOQ, technical proposals, compliance responses, RFP/RFQ responses, and tender submissions.
Perform solution sizing, product selection, technical evaluation, and configuration.
Recommend appropriate technologies based on performance, scalability, compatibility, budget, and customer requirements.
Conduct customer presentations, technical discussions, solution workshops, and product demonstrations.
Work closely with vendors and distributors to develop technically sound and commercially competitive solutions.
Support proof-of-concept activities where required.
Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, from opportunity qualification and solution development through proposal and handover.
Coordinate with project and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical and deliverable.
Keep up to date with enterprise IT, data center, AI infrastructure, and emerging technology trends.
About You
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, solution engineering, technical consulting, or pre-sales.
Previous experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Infrastructure Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical role is preferred.
Strong technical knowledge in at least one or more of the following areas:
Enterprise networking - switching, routing, LAN/WAN, wireless, and data center networking
Server and compute infrastructure
Enterprise storage - SAN, NAS, and related storage technologies
Data center IT infrastructure and connectivity
Experience with networking technologies from Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Juniper, or similar vendors.
Experience with server, compute, and storage solutions from Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, NetApp, or similar vendors is highly advantageous.
Experience preparing BOM/BOQ, solution designs, technical proposals, and architecture diagrams.
Good understanding of how networking, compute, storage, and data center technologies integrate within an enterprise environment.
Strong customer-facing, presentation, and communication skills.
Able to explain technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working for a system integrator, IT solutions provider, distributor, or technology vendor is preferred.
Relevant industry certifications such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Arista, Dell, HPE, or equivalent are an advantage.
