Flight Instructors

About This Role

The Flight Instructor is responsible fordelivering high quality flight, simulatorand groundinstructionto students in compliance with the CAE Global Academy Training standards and Safety standards and applicable aviation authority regulations. He/she ensures that course standards, training requirements and objectivesare met by each student. This position is training students with a strong focus on professional behavior and attitude besides strong theoretical and practical knowledge of flying. Therefore ‘teaching by example’ is a very importantresponsibility for the Flight Instructor.

• Instruct students in practical and simulatortraining strictly adhering tothe applicable Training and Safety Standards,CGA Quality standardsand/or other company directives

• Monitor, plan and assiststudents to enable satisfactory progress through the course and stay within established timelines; timelyand pro-active reporting and action to prevent delays and unsatisfactory progress

• Promotes safe behavior at all timesand complies in behavior and execution with the Safety Management System;ensures all students understand and practice all aspects of the CGASafetyManagement System

• Responsible for timelyand accuratecompletion of all student and flight related administration and recordsincluding planning for examinations

• ‘Teaching by example’ by behaving as an exemplary role model to students promoting professional, disciplinedand safe behavior

• Monitor technical and internal status and cleanliness of all the aircraftconcernedand reportdiscrepanciesto the responsible people

• Attends administrative, standardizationandinstructordevelopment meetingsandin-service trainingas assigned; also attends open days and trade shows as requested

• Identifyand initiate improvements for practical instruction and Training Standards and work with responsible people to constantly improve safety and quality levels

Student pass rate on first attempt on check rides and examinations

Client feedback rating through client feedback survey

QUALIFICATIONS& SKILLS

• Ability to work well in a highly structured environment

• Teamoriented

• Result oriented

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

• Knowledge of MS Word and MS Outlook

EDUCATIONREQUIRED

• No aircraftaccident or aviation violation convictions

• Current Commercial Pilot License

• Flight Instructor Qualification is an advantage

EXPERIENCEREQUIRED

• Minimumrequirements as indicatedin Training Standards and as required by local aviation authorities

• Previousexperience as trainer or teacher isan advantage

• Communication to colleague instructors and other departments (ieMaintenance, Operations)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• English ICAO level 4 is required

• Other languages are an advantage
