Senior Python Full Stack Engineer

About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior Python Full - Stack / Cloud - Native Engineer with strong hands - on expertise in Python, modern web development, AWS, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud - native technologies.

The ideal candidate will be a self - sufficient, hands - on engineer capable of owning features end - to - end - from technical design and backend development to UI integration, deployment, observability, troubleshooting, and production support.

You will contribute to the modernization and development of the IPRS platform, working on REST APIs, microservices, cloud - native services, and existing integrations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full - stack applications and cloud - native services.

- Build production - grade backend services and REST APIs using Python, with frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.

- Design and develop microservices with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Develop and integrate modern web UI components using React, Angular, or similar JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.

- Own features end - to - end, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.

- Develop and operate applications on AWS, particularly Lambda and ECS.

- Work with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, including data modelling, querying, and performance optimization.

- Build and deploy Docker - based containerized applications.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure - as - Code initiatives.

- Work with AWS CloudFormation (CFT); Terraform experience is an advantage.

- Implement application observability using OpenTelemetry and AWS CloudWatch, covering logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring.

- Design systems for scalability, high availability, resilience, fault tolerance, and performance.

- Contribute to modernization of legacy SOAP/XML integrations into RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Independently troubleshoot complex application, integration, cloud, and production issues.

- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, automated testing, and technical - debt reduction.

- Collaborate with engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams.

Must - Have Skills :

- Strong hands - on Python development experience, particularly backend/service development.

- Hands - on experience with FastAPI, Django, or equivalent Python web frameworks.

- Strong experience building REST APIs and microservices.

- Strong understanding of Python fundamentals including :

1. OOP

2. Async programming

3. Concurrency

4. Exception handling

5. Testing

6. Performance optimization

- Hands - on full - stack development experience with React, Angular, or similar frameworks.

- Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

- Strong practical experience with AWS cloud - native development.

- Hands - on experience with AWS Lambda and ECS.

- Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.

- Experience building and deploying applications using Docker.

- Experience with CloudFormation or similar Infrastructure - as - Code tools.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.

- Experience with application observability, preferably OpenTelemetry and CloudWatch.

- Understanding of distributed - system concepts such as retries, timeouts, resilience, scalability, and fault tolerance.

- Strong automated testing, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently and take end - to - end ownership of technical problems.

Good to Have :

- C++ knowledge or experience working with C++ - based/legacy components.

- Kubernetes experience.

- Terraform experience.

- Kafka or other messaging/event - streaming technologies.

- Redis or other caching technologies.

- Experience with serverless/event - driven architectures.

- Experience with SOAP/XML integrations and modernization.

- Experience in airline, travel, reservation, or transaction - intensive systems.

- AWS certification.
