About Cambi

Cambi is a world-leading provider of sustainable technology solutions that enable cities to turn wastewater sludge into valuable resources. We are a medium-size, Norway-based multinational company listed in Oslo on Euronext Growth, with offices in several countries. We have diligent employees from different backgrounds and more than 25 nationalities, and a growing sales network covering all continents.

Our core expertise lies in designing, testing, manufacturing, installing, and operating industrial process installations, used mainly for treating sewage sludge before or after anaerobic digestion in wastewater treatment plants. The technology, known as thermal hydrolysis, reduces greenhouse gas emissions and produces renewable energy, organic fertilizers, and various soil products while destroying pathogens and other harmful substances. Our systems have the capacity to cater to over 120 million individuals across more than 28 countries. We are proud of having cities like Oslo, London, Washington, Singapore, and Sydney among our clients.

You will play a critical role in driving engineering excellence, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, safety, and quality.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineering professional who enjoys leading teams, mentoring others, and solving complex engineering challenges within a highly regulated industry environment.

  • Review, approve, and sign off engineering calculations, specifications, design packages, and technical reports.

  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant legislation, industry regulations, codes, and standards.

  • Support customer engagement activities, technical discussions, issue resolution, and business development initiatives.

  • Apply advanced engineering expertise to resolve complex mechanical and structural challenges.

  • Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, procedures, standards, and systems.

  • Promote the highest standards of safety, quality, technical integrity, and operational performance across all projects.

We Are Looking For

  • A proven engineering leader with the ability to lead teams and deliver complex technical projects.

  • Strong experience in mechanical design within a regulated industry environment.

  • A collaborative professional who can build effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.

  • An individual who thrives on solving complex engineering problems and delivering practical, innovative solutions.

  • A mentor and coach who is passionate about developing engineering talent and promoting best practices.

  • Someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively.

Wastewater industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential. We welcome applications from candidates working in any regulated industry sector.

Key Qualifications and Requirements
