Position Summary

We are seeking a Product Designer to join our Personalization & Engagement team and help define how customers receive relevant, timely, and trustworthy information across a digital banking experience.

This role spans personalization, engagement, and intelligent assistance - including home screen greetings, quick actions, recommendations, insights, and AI-assisted search. Unlike foundational banking flows where success means low friction, this team's work is measured by relevance, clarity, and thoughtful engagement.

You will design experiences that help customers discover useful information and take informed next steps, while maintaining strong standards for transparency, user control, and responsible use of intelligent features. You will partner closely with product management and engineering in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Experience Design

• Design personalized home screen and dashboard experiences including greetings, shortcuts, and contextual content
• Create patterns for recommendations, offers, and insight cards across consumer banking surfaces
• Design AI-assisted experiences such as proactive insights, intelligent search, and natural-language query interfaces
• Define interaction models for insight discovery, review, dismissal, and user-confirmed actions
• Design engagement features including lifestyle nudges, contextual prompts, and configurable quick actions

Cross-Platform Delivery

• Design for mobile and responsive web experiences
• Produce high-fidelity designs, flows, prototypes, and specifications for engineering handoff
• Design for multiple states including loading, empty, error, low-confidence, and fallback scenarios
• Ensure visual and interaction consistency across platforms

Platform and Configurability

• Design within a modular or component-based product architecture
• Account for institution-level configuration, entitlements, and content customization
• Collaborate with engineering on metadata-driven or API-backed UI behavior
• Document design intent, assumptions, and edge cases clearly for cross-functional partners

Discovery and Validation

• Participate in discovery and problem framing for new personalization capabilities
• Balance engagement goals with trust, transparency, and user control
• Validate concepts through research, critique, and iterative testing
• Contribute to evolving team standards for personalization and intelligent experiences

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in product design, interaction design, or UX design
• Portfolio demonstrating work on engagement, personalization, dashboards, or intelligent product features
• Strong interaction design skills with attention to hierarchy, states, and system behavior
• Proficiency with modern design tools and structured design documentation
• Experience designing for mobile and web
• Understanding of UX patterns for search, recommendations, notifications, or AI-assisted interfaces
• Understanding of accessibility principles and WCAG guidelines, including how they apply to personalized, low-confidence, and AI-assisted content
• Ability to collaborate closely with product managers and engineers in agile teams
• Strong communication skills and comfort presenting and defending design decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated consumer products
• Familiarity with designing configurable or multi-tenant platforms
• Experience designing responsible AI or intelligent assistance patterns
• Content and microcopy sensibility for insight messaging and engagement surfaces
• Background in search UX, recommendation systems, or onboarding and engagement flows
• Experience working in distributed or global teams across time zones
