Job Summary

Role Purpose

Candescent is seeking a skilled Web Developer to build, maintain, and continuously improve our website from one of our India office locations. You will work closely with marketing, design, and strategy stakeholders to bring pages and campaigns to life quickly and cleanly, with a strong focus on hands-on Webflow development and integrating web experiences with Marketo for lead capture and marketing automation.

This is a role for someone who enjoys turning designs into polished, performant, well-structured pages and is comfortable owning the technical execution of a marketing website. You will work under the direction of the senior web developer in India, who will set priorities, review your work, and provide technical coaching.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

What you will be responsible for and what you will do

Build & Maintain

• Build, update, and maintain website pages, templates, and components in Webflow, following design specifications and brand guidelines.
• Maintain clean, scalable Webflow CMS structures including collections, fields, and dynamic content that non-technical teammates can manage.
• Implement responsive, accessible, cross-browser designs from Figma or similar design files.
• Perform regular site maintenance including fixing broken links, resolving bugs, managing redirects, and monitoring uptime.

Marketing Systems & Tracking

• Integrate and troubleshoot Marketo forms, tracking scripts, and landing pages within the website, ensuring accurate lead capture and data flow into marketing automation.
• Implement and maintain tracking and analytics tags such as GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Marketo Munchkin in coordination with marketing stakeholders.
• Support A/B testing initiatives by implementing test variants and experiment code on landing pages.

Performance & Quality

• Optimise pages for site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance.
• Ensure SEO best practices are followed in markup, including meta tags, structured data, semantic HTML, URL structure, and redirects.
• Translate designs accurately, with strong attention to spacing, typography, and visual detail.

Collaboration & Ways of Working

• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to scope, estimate, and deliver web requests on time.
• Work closely with the senior web developer in India, who will set priorities, review work, and provide technical direction and coaching.
• Maintain basic documentation of site structure, components, and workflows.
• Maintain a working schedule with sufficient overlap with US business hours on at least a few days each week to enable live collaboration, reviews, and handoffs.

Experience

Demonstrated skills, competencies, and required experience

• 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining websites, including hands-on Webflow development across Designer and CMS.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience integrating and troubleshooting Marketo or a comparable marketing automation platform for forms and tracking on a website.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross-browser and device testing.
• Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals as they relate to site markup and structure.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate designs accurately.
• Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple requests and projects at once.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced marketing environment with shifting priorities.

Qualifications & Preferred Distinctions

Additional accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Design, or a related field; equivalent professional experience and a portfolio of live sites will be considered.
• Experience implementing tracking and analytics tags such as GA4 and Google Tag Manager is preferred.
• Experience with other no-code or low-code website platforms and content management systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with version control such as Git for custom code embeds is a plus.
• Basic experience with A/B testing tools is a plus.
• Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or Jira is a plus.
• Experience supporting financial services, technology, B2B, SaaS, or enterprise software brands is preferred.
• Experience collaborating across geographies and time zones is helpful.
