• The minimum gross monthly base salary for this position is from € 3,000. The final offer could be higher to reflect the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to support your client's data-platform delivery in a regulated financial services environment. You will shape the architecture connecting priority sources to a governed Azure foundation, transforming data into the UI Enterprise Data Model and enabling reusable data products for APIs, Power BI, analytics and AI. You will combine target-state architecture with hands-on delivery, guide engineers and establish governance, integration and operational patterns.

• You lead the conceptual and technical design of the data-platform architecture, from source assessment and business requirements through implementation, integration and operational handover
• You define and govern Azure Databricks patterns for onboarding priority data sources into the Bronze layer and transforming them into your client Enterprise Data Model / Silver layer, including use-case-specific pre- and post-processing
• You establish reusable patterns for data modelling, ETL and ELT, APIs and MCP interfaces, and embed Okta access management, Microsoft Purview data-loss prevention, metadata, lineage and data-quality controls
• You guide legacy-data decoupling and migration, challenge design choices where needed, and own architecture decisions across data sourcing, transformation and data-product delivery
• You work closely with business domains, data engineering, governance, security and operations teams, maintain architecture documentation and support knowledge transfer and production readiness

Skills and Expertise

• You have a university degree in computer science, business information systems, engineering, natural sciences or a comparable discipline
• You have several years of practical experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures and governed cloud data platforms in regulated financial services
• You have hands-on Azure Databricks experience, including source onboarding, Bronze / Silver data layers, enterprise data models, ETL / ELT and data-storage concepts
• You bring strong conceptual and logical data-modelling skills and practical knowledge of SQL, data structures, APIs and MCP interfaces
• You understand data-governance requirements including access controls, Microsoft Purview data-loss prevention, metadata, lineage and data quality, with Okta-based access management experience or strong familiarity
• You have experience integrating legacy and/or on-premises sources into cloud data platforms and turning trusted data into reusable data products for reporting, APIs, analytics or AI; asset-management / investment-management experience is advantageous. You are fluent in English; German is advantageous and you can travel when required
• You are fluent in English; German is advantageous for business-facing work, and you can travel when required
