Job duties
As a Polish Localization Expert, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all assets localized from English to Polish meet Capcom’s quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Translate text from English into Polish or check translated text to produce top-quality localizations
- Create and manage Polish language assets, such as glossaries, translation memory and style guides
- Track, evaluate, and fix linguistic bugs as required
- Provide feedback to Localization Directors on culturally sensitive issues
- Propose improvements to workflow process for optimal translation quality
- Work with other localization members on team objectives
Requirements:
- Native speaker of Polish
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Polish and English
- Have experience in localization (preferably in the gaming industry)
- Ability to review, create and adapt processes to focus on efficiency
- Be able to work with a team
- Be competent in self-management
- Be able to follow deadlines
- Be able to work simultaneously on multiple projects when necessary
- Broad knowledge of current cultural sensitivities in Polish-speaking regions
- An interest and passion for video games and the game industry
- Japanese language ability is a benefit but not required
