About the job you're considering

Our Functional Consultants work with client stakeholders to discover user needs, goals and objectives of an organisation and design the right processes and solutions for them. They liaise with business owners and development teams to refine a Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform solution that is suitable for our clients. Working as subject matter experts and trusted advisors, our Functional Consultants can advise clients in business terms about how to transform their business in line with the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform and are able to translate it into technical requirements.

We put a lot of time and effort into the Microsoft community; we invest in doing things right and have plenty to say on the subject. We’re active on social media and for those that want to find out more, take a look at our blogs - written by Microsoft enthusiasts, for everyone: https://medium.com/capgemini-microsoft-team.

Your Role

The role is delivery focused, working on a single client project at a time (with the opportunity to support sales and pre-sales activities if of interest).

  • Manage and advise the requirements gathering process by running workshops, interviews and observations sessions with Subject Matter Experts and Product Owners to define the business and functional requirements and system goals.
  • Work with Solution Architects and Developers to outline high level and low-level solution designs in line with the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.
  • Own the Product Backlog and ensure requirements are documented correctly in User Stories following Behaviour Driven Development (BDD). And work with Product Owners to get sign off prior to development.
  • Reengineer business processes and advise on enhancements based on best practice and Dynamics 365 functionality.
  • Own the functional design of the solutions being delivered to ensure both user needs are met, and the solution is in line with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform capabilities.
  • Aid clients in developing CRM roadmaps and excite them by showcasing the art of the possible with the capabilities of Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for individuals who can bring the following to our team:

  • Energy and excitement about the technologies and capabilities provided by Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. The out of the box capabilities and limitations.
  • Full implementation lifecycle experience of CRM based programmes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and knowledge of the supporting business processes.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops to gather and document user needs and translating them into business processes and a product backlog.
  • A passion for delivering according to an agile methodology, planning projects and releases in sprints and writing Epics, Features and User Stories.
  • An understanding of the broader Microsoft technology stack and be able to leverage it to create powerful solutions and working in fast paced Agile environments.
