About the job you're considering

The SAP Analytics & Reporting Team helps our clients unlock the full value of their SAP data, delivering trusted reporting, analytics and data solutions that enable better business decisions. Working across operational reporting, enterprise analytics, finance, regulatory reporting and transformation programmes, we act as trusted partners to our clients, collaborating across business and technology teams to solve complex challenges, deliver measurable outcomes and unlock lasting business value.

Our work spans everything from enhancing and supporting existing SAP landscapes to shaping large-scale SAP BW/4HANA and S/4HANA transformation programmes. Combining deep SAP expertise with a consulting-led, client-centric and value-focused approach, we help organisations turn complex information into actionable insight, enabling better decisions, improved performance and sustainable business outcomes.

Joining the team will provide exposure to a diverse range of SAP reporting and analytics environments, offering opportunities to develop your consulting, delivery and transformation experience while working on enterprise-scale data, reporting and technology programmes.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including:

identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)

Your role

As an SAP Analytics & Reporting Applications Consultant, you'll operate as a trusted advisor, combining business understanding, SAP expertise and consulting skills to help clients realise greater value from their data and reporting investments.

You'll engage directly with stakeholders to understand their priorities, challenges and strategic objectives, applying curiosity and consulting expertise to shape reporting and analytics solutions that support measurable business outcomes and long-term client success.

Working as one team across SAP functional specialists, BW consultants, developers, architects and client stakeholders, you'll contribute throughout the full solution lifecycle while maintaining a clear focus on client success and value delivery. You'll also play an important role in evolving clients' reporting landscapes, enabling both the enhancement of existing SAP environments and future transformation initiatives.

You'll partner with clients across complex, enterprise-scale SAP landscapes, helping them modernise reporting capabilities, optimise existing solutions and support strategic transformation initiatives.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading client workshops and stakeholder engagements to understand business priorities, define success measures and shape reporting solutions that support strategic outcomes.
  • Translating business requirements into functional specifications, report designs and test scenarios.
  • Designing reporting solutions, calculations, selections, source-to-target mappings and reconciliation approaches.
  • Demonstrating a one-team mindset by working collaboratively across client and delivery teams, showing collaborative ownership for successful outcomes, long-term solution value and end-to-end client success.
  • Supporting the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from estimation and planning through to testing, deployment and implementation.
  • Investigating and resolving data, reporting and performance issues within live SAP environments.
  • Producing and maintaining high-quality solution documentation, test evidence and operational knowledge assets.
  • Contributing to BW object analysis, lineage mapping, rationalisation and BW/4HANA transformation activities.

Your skills and experience

  • Strong practical experience of SAP BW, ideally BW 7.5 or a comparable BW 7.x landscape, together with SAP Business Explorer and BEx Query Designer.
  • Sound knowledge of BW extraction, data modelling, transformation, loading and reporting, including InfoObjects, DataStore Objects, transformations, DTPs, process chains, reporting providers, variables and key figures.
  • Experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops and producing functional specifications, solution designs, mappings, test scenarios and delivery documentation.
  • Ability to trace data lineage from source systems through SAP BW to the final report, supporting testing, releases and live-service activities while translating complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:

  • SAP BW/4HANA, BW Modelling Tools in Eclipse, or experience of a BW migration, conversion, remediation or rationalisation programme.
  • Advanced DataStore Objects, CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views, Operational Data Provisioning or BW analysis authorisations.
  • SAP FI-CA, FI-GL, Tax and Revenue Management, or accounting, reconciliation, payment, debt and revenue reporting.
