Senior SAP BTP Developer/Lead

Role overview :
Our client is extending its SAP S/4HANA landscape on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) under a clean-core strategy. Working from the Hyderabad delivery center, the Senior SAP BTP Developer leads the offshore technical build of side-by-side extensions, integrations, and Fiori applications. You will translate business needs into BTP solution designs, own security, performance, and deployment end to end, and lead the offshore developers who build them.
Key responsibilities :
- Architecture and technical leadership : Choose the right approach for each requirement, including CAP versus RAP and which BTP services to use. Set coding and design standards, review all offshore code, and mentor developers. Recommend which custom objects should move off the S/4HANA core.
- Extensions : Design and build applications and services with CAP (Node.js or Java) and RAP, connected to S/4HANA through released APIs without core modifications.
- User experience : Build Fiori elements and SAPUI5 applications and configure SAP Build Work Zone.
- Integration : Design and build iFlows in SAP Integration Suite (CPI) connecting SAP with Salesforce, Workday, banks, suppliers, and legacy systems using REST, OData, events, and APIs.
- Data : Model and work with data in SAP HANA Cloud and, where required, SAP Datasphere.
- Security and connectivity : Implement XSUAA and IAS authentication, role collections, destinations, and Cloud Connector configuration.
- Deployment and DevOps : Deploy to Cloud Foundry and Kyma, and run CI/CD pipelines and transports with SAP CI/CD, Cloud Transport Management, and Git.
- Automation and AI : Build with SAP Build Process Automation and SAP Build Apps; support SAP AI services and Joule use cases.
- Onshore - offshore coordination : Act as the technical counterpart to the US lead. Attend overlap calls with US teams (typically 2 - 3 hours in the Indian evening), turn requirements into technical tasks, and own the quality and timeliness of offshore deliverables.
Required qualifications :
- 8+ years of SAP technical experience, with at least 4 years of hands-on development on SAP BTP.
- Production delivery experience with CAP (Node.js or Java) and with RAP or ABAP for S/4HANA.
- Hands-on SAP Integration Suite (CPI) experience, including iFlow design, error handling, and monitoring.
- Fiori elements and SAPUI5 development, plus SAP Build Work Zone configuration.
- Working knowledge of XSUAA, IAS, destinations, and Cloud Connector.
- Deployment experience on Cloud Foundry; Kyma exposure.
- At least one full-lifecycle S/4HANA project where you owned the BTP technical design.
- Experience leading an offshore development team and working directly with US or European clients.
- Strong written and spoken English.
Work model and eligibility :
- 100% onsite at the Hyderabad office, five days a week. Remote or hybrid candidates will not be considered.
- Must currently live in Hyderabad or commit in writing to relocating before the start date.
- Must be available for daily overlap with US time zones.
