We are looking for a dedicated individual to join us as a Paramedicine Lecturer. In this role, you'll guide students in pre-hospital emergency care by delivering lectures, practical demonstrations, and facilitating discussions. Using your experience in emergency medical services, you'll provide insights to prepare students for real-world challenges. As part of our team, you'll also contribute to curriculum development, design assessments, and stay updated on industry advancements. This role includes mentoring students during clinical placements and promoting values of professionalism and ethical conduct. * Develop and deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and clinical simulations in various paramedicine-related modules.
* Design, develop, and review curriculum content to ensure alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and pedagogical best practices.
* Assess student learning through a variety of methods, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
* Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development, including clinical placements and projects.
* Participate in academic administration duties, including course coordination, committee work, and programme review.
* Engage in continuous professional development and maintain currency in paramedicine practice and educational methodologies.
* Establish and maintain strong industry links to enhance student learning experiences and foster collaboration opportunities.
* Contribute to school and poly-wide initiatives and projects.
* Supervise student projects, internships, and clinical attachments.
[What we are looking for]
Hold a recognized Paramedicine qualification (or equivalent); international paramedic qualifications will be considered.
Paramedic Level 4 registration/credential preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of active experience in prehospital emergency medical services, with deep practical understanding of real-world clinical scenarios.
Proven ability to translate complex clinical concepts into clear, engaging, and effective learning experiences.
Strong instructional planning skills, with expertise in sequencing curricula to progressively build student knowledge and practical competency.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across academic and clinical contexts.
Strong interpersonal abilities to build collaborative relationships with students, faculty, and industry partners.
High level of professional integrity, serving as a role model in conduct, appearance, and clinical ethics.
