[What the role is]
You will perform analytical work on various research projects in Entomology and Nematology.[What you will be working on]
- Perform molecular work (e.g. DNA extraction, fragment analysis & sequencing analysis)
- Conduct insect surveillance and field sampling
- Conduct research experiments, collecting and archiving data
- Perform insect colony and plant maintenance
- Perform data analysis and report writing
- Any other duties as required
[What we are looking for]
- Area of study in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences, or related disciplines
- Knowledge of general biology and statistics
- Comfortable with field and lab work
- Good laboratory skills, including molecular techniques
- Class 3 or 3A driving licence to facilitate field work
- Self-motivated, able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and able to thrive in a challenging environment
