About the role
As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of materials that support our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to manage purchase orders, maintain inventory levels, resolve supply issues, and support engineering changes while contributing to the overall efficiency and continuity of the business.
Key Responsibilities
As a Buyer, you'll be responsible for:
Place purchase orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production requirements.
Monitor material shortages, expedite deliveries when needed, and maintain appropriate inventory coverage.
Resolve purchase order discrepancies, including hold invoices, while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Manage material planning activities including pull-in, push-out, cancellation reports, and inventory control.
Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), New Product Introduction (NPI), and Phase In/Phase Out projects to ensure a smooth supply transition.
Requirements
We are looking for people who are proactive, analytical, customer-focused, and able to build strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams. If this is you, get in touch.
As a minimum you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
Advanced English proficiency.
Experience using SAP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
Experience managing purchase orders and working with domestic and international suppliers.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
Knowledge of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Phase In/Phase Out processes.
Experience with inventory management and shortage mitigation in a manufacturing environment.
