About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented Software Engineer or Computer Scientist to join our team. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Carrier eDesign software-based tools for the design and optimization of heating ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Developing desktop and web-based software applications for HVAC system design and energy modeling.
- Analyzing software requirements and design software solutions.
- Producing clean, efficient code that meets software requirements.
- Performing unit and system testing.
- Working collaboratively with other developers on development projects.
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and debug existing software.
- Contributing to establishing department guidelines and standards for development of software.
- Evaluating and identifying new libraries, tools, and technologies for use by the software development team, as needed.
Requirements:
- Proficient with desktop software development using C#, .NET.
- Proficient with front-end web technologies including JavaScript and ReactJS
- Proficient with server-side and back-end technologies including C#, .NET, and Entity Framework.
- Understanding of object-oriented design and analysis (OOD and OOA)
- Knowledge of software development and deployment practices on AWS.
- Technology experience including Microsoft Visual Studio, XML, JSON, WPF, XAML.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation communication skills
- High level of verbal and written English language fluency.
- Experience using agentic AI tools for software development
- 3+ years of work experience as software engineer preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study.
