• Daily Payment Exceptions & Platform Operations: Support payment exceptions handling of transaction failures and provide timely support to cross-functional business and support teams to resolve payment and funding issues in real-time.
• High-Volume Payment Approval & Specialized Disbursements: Oversee the review and approval of daily outgoing payment batches and manage the end-to-end disbursement and daily reconciliation processes for specialized corporate or transactional bank accounts.
• Bank Portal Security & Compliance Controls: Mitigate platform and transaction risks by administering daily fraud controls and reviewing transaction exception items across primary banking portals, while coordinating timely responses to banking compliance and regulatory inquiries.
• Daily Bank Data & Limit Monitoring: Maintain master banking data records and perform daily tracking and analysis of credit limits to support credit risk management and underwriting activities.
• Monthly Banking Audits & Statement Administration: Own monthly bank statement collection, archiving, and transaction export processes across global corporate bank accounts, and conduct comprehensive monthly pricing audits and fee reviews to reconcile service charges and eliminate variances.
• Liquidity Transfers & Platform Expansion: Assist in corporate cash and liquidity management by executing recurring intercompany transfer setups, responding to external bank authorization requests, and configuring system variables to support the onboarding of new geographical markets or banking partners.

The Team You'll Work With

You’ll join the Treasury team, which plays a vital role in managing overall banking related activities and supporting corporate and customer money movement across Carta. As a Treasury Associate, you will act as a key partner to our internal business units, helping monitor, review, and reconcile payment transactions that flow through our banking networks every day.

In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with team members in Customer Support, Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and our global banking partners. Your day-to-day focus will center on resolving payment exceptions, administering critical banking portal access, and partnering on continuous process improvements to ensure a seamless, secure, and highly scalable money movement experience for our clients.

About You

We are looking for a detail-oriented, tech-forward, and highly responsible professional who meets the following criteria:

• Experienced in Banking & Treasury/Payment Operations: 3+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, or related role recommended, with 2+ years of dedicated experience specifically in Treasury operations, banking operations, or payment processing recommended. 
• Technical Skillset & AI-Forward Mindset: Advanced user of core spreadsheet applications (Excel/Google Sheets) with baseline proficiency in data querying utilities (such as Looker or Metabase), and a strong passion for utilizing modern AI tools (such as Claude or Gemini) to automate manual tasks and drive process efficiencies.
• Expertise in Global Banking & Payment Systems: Proficient knowledge of banking services (ACH, wire, F/X transfers), reconciliations, payment rules, compliance and controls (such as NACHA guidelines, OFAC regulations, and bank portal administration).
• Autonomy & Project Ownership: A largely independent operator who is highly productive under general guidelines, exercises sound judgment to resolve moderate-scope operational issues using established procedures, and takes full ownership of low-complexity ad-hoc projects.
• Documentation & Detail Orientation: Rigorous attention to detail and an established record of executing tasks accurately and meeting tight deadlines, paired with a passion for creating and maintaining clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reconciliations, and process flow mappings to eliminate single-source-of-knowledge risks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: A proactive collaborator who routinely partners within the treasury team and demonstrates emerging capabilities to work with Support, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance, with the ability to clearly present analysis and communicate with business and technical stakeholders

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation range for this role is: 

 $93,500 - $120,000  in New York and San Francisco 

 $74,800 - $88,000  in Sandy, Utah 

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
