Job description
About the team:
The Plant Coordinator - 3P Q&C provides end-to-end operational, process, and data support for SKU BOM creation, maintenance, and change management across third-party (3P) manufacturing sites. The role ensures SKU BOMs are accurately created, maintained, and implemented through Fusion and the Fusion 3P External Portal.
As the execution backbone for BOM management and change control, the role ensures data integrity, process discipline, full traceability, and audit readiness. Working closely with the 3P Q&C Advisor and 3P Planning teams, the position supports seamless coordination across data setup, change implementation, and supplier execution.
Success is measured by BOM accuracy, on-time implementation, reliable change execution, data quality, and audit readiness.
Key tasks:
SKU BOM Creation & Master Data Management (Packaging Scope Only)
BOM Creation & Setup
- Create and maintain SKU BOMs for packed products, including packaging components (labels, bottles, caps, drums, cartons, etc.) and finished SKU assembly structures.
- Ensure BOMs are complete, accurate, executable by 3P plants, and released only after confirming no missing components and clear packaging configurations.
Data Validation & Readiness
- Verify alignment between Production BOMs and Sales BOMs, component materials and finished SKUs.
- Validate units of measure, item categories, sales organization assignments, and identify technical inconsistencies such as deletion flags or missing links.
- Ensure BOMs are complete, accurate, interpretable by suppliers, and ready for operational execution before release.
SKU BOM Change Management & Control (Non-Formulation)
Change Management
- Create and update BOMs for label changes, packaging component changes, and structural adjustments.
- Document change rationale, implementation timelines, and packaging material impacts.
Controlled Execution & Impact Assessment
- Manage BOM changes through Fusion and Fusion 3P Portal, including submission, tracking, and supplier acknowledgement.
- Ensure controlled release, full traceability, and prevent unauthorized implementation.
- Assess impact on packaging materials, stock, finished goods, and ongoing production, supporting phase-in/phase-out strategies and mitigation actions.
Fusion 3P Portal & Data Governance
Portal Administration & Supplier Communication
- Maintain SKU BOM data across Fusion, Fusion 3P Portal, SAP/local systems, and supplier setups.
- Use the Fusion 3P Portal as the primary channel for BOM sharing and change communication, ensuring complete, structured, and accurate information.
Data Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and resolve data errors, missing information, and BOM inconsistencies.
- Support testing activities and provide feedback to Fusion system owners to enhance processes and system performance.
Project Follow-Up - SKU/BOM Related Changes
Project Coordination & Monitoring
- Track projects involving new SKU setups, packaging changes, label changes, and BOM updates, monitoring timelines, milestones, implementation readiness, and risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with 3P Q&C Advisors, Planning, Procurement, and 3P suppliers to ensure BOM readiness, implementation timing, supplier execution, and production readiness.
- Escalate issues relating to delays, data inconsistencies, and supplier constraints.
Interface with 3P Planning
Planning & Inventory Alignment
- Align BOM changes with production schedules and implementation timing, ensuring operational feasibility before release.
- Support Planning in managing packaging and label inventories, reducing obsolescence risks, and supporting decisions on stop orders and stock consumption strategies.
Operational Synchronization
- Ensure BOM changes are effectively integrated into production execution and monitor correct application in manufacturing.
Supplier Interface & Implementation
BOM Deployment & Verification
- Ensure suppliers receive updated BOMs through the Fusion Portal, acknowledge changes, and clearly understand implementation requirements.
- Verify correct BOM versions and packaging materials are used during production and support issue resolution during changeovers and initial production runs.
Governance, Compliance & Traceability
- Maintain full traceability for BOM creation, modifications, approvals, and implementation status.
- Ensure documented approvals, clear business justification for changes, and compliance with Fusion requirements and internal quality standards.
Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum exp. 3 to 5 with BOM Material
- Experience in Master Data Management, BOM Management, Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations, ERP/Data Systems (SAP, Fusion, etc.), and structured process execution and coordination roles.
Data & Systems Capability
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and data governance.
- Knowledge of product line administration systems such as Fusion, Streamline, SAP, or equivalent.
- Ability to maintain data integrity, consistency, and traceability across systems.
Process & Execution Excellence
- Strong understanding of BOM structures, change management processes, and supply chain interfaces (Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing).
- Ability to ensure completeness, readiness, documentation discipline, proactive follow-up, and effective prioritization of multiple activities.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Strong stakeholder management, networking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with geographically diverse teams and suppliers while driving alignment across functions.
Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes, resolve operational and data-related issues, and support cross-functional solutions.
Change & Adaptability
- Ability to anticipate and manage change in a dynamic supply chain environment.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, committed to continuous learning, and capable of supporting smooth implementation of changes across 3P plants.
Communication
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, structured communication and ensure consistency in documentation and stakeholder interactions.
