Catalyst Path Consulting is looking to hire a suitably qualified individual for the role of Graduate Trainee – Store Operations. This is a full-time position based in Abuja (FCT), Nigeria, and the selected candidate is expected to resume immediately.
Role SummaryThe company is searching for an ambitious, sharp, and career-focused graduate to join the team and complete a structured training programme covering retail and store operations.
The successful trainee will gain practical, hands-on exposure across a range of areas, including store operations, inventory control, customer service, sales, merchandising, staff coordination, and administrative duties. This opportunity suits a recent graduate who is keen to acquire practical skills and grow into a long-term career in retail management.
Key Responsibilities- Help run the store's daily activities while working under the Store Manager's supervision.
- Provide support for inventory and stock management, covering receiving, storage, replenishment, and stock counting.
- Assist in tracking stock levels and flagging discrepancies, damaged items, or expired products.
- Contribute to product arrangement, merchandising, pricing, and overall store presentation.
- Help respond to customer enquiries and ensure customers enjoy a positive experience.
- Support sales efforts and help the store meet its targets.
- Assist with preparing basic reports on operations, inventory, and sales.
- Study and comply with company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with store staff, the warehouse team, procurement, suppliers, and other departments as needed.
- Provide support for administrative tasks, staff coordination, and other store-related duties.
- Take an active part in training and take on extra responsibilities as skills and experience grow.
- Show professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and a genuine desire to learn.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
