The primary purpose of the Security Analyst position is to evaluate security events identified by CEFCU’s network and security monitoring systems, identify system vulnerabilities, and investigate member and employee-reported security issues to protect CEFCU data and systems from unauthorized internal and external access.Provides the highest quality member experience, for both internal and external members.
Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
WFHRequired:
- Bachelor’s degree in an I.T. related field or five years commensurate work experience in Information Security and/or Network Engineering.
- 2-4 years’ experience as a Security Operations Analyst or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Information Security certification (CEH or CISSP) or two or more years of Network Engineer experience.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, risk management, and threat detection techniques.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
- Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, VPN).
- Experience with a vulnerability scanning tool.
- Knowledge of virus definitions and malware families.
- Experience with patching updates and CVE/Vulnerability review.
- Experienced with Microsoft Windows environment, including security configurations, event log analysis, and Active Directory security.
Preferred:
- Experience with compliance, financial industry regulations, and security frameworks.
- Programming and scripting experience related to cyber forensic investigations.
- Penetration testing experience.

Summary Pay Range
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $38.80 - $45.59.The pay range listed represents the anticipated starting range for a successful candidate. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at CEFCU.
